Blogger thinks we're spam :(

I got an email this morning from blogger saying that they think this blog is spam :(

So can I just stress to whoever comes to this site to do the manual check, that it's not! It's really not! It's just designed to be a tool to new/small businesses.

I won't write about link farms or any of that rubbish, and there have been many websites I've been presented with that I haven't included as I didn't think of them as of a good enough quality.

So please let this blog continue!

This is not the same as your website being indexed by Google - Google lets you place a listing in their business directory. You can state your opening hours, any promotions you're running - and show people where you are using Google Maps.
This is well worth doing, as then when someone searches for your service in your area, Google may show a map as the top listing, displaying local services/companies.
As you'd expect from Google, they have a fancy sign up system that involves you verifying your company details by receiving a text message or an automated call to your business number.

BusinessITOnline have their own business directory that it's free to advertise in. You can also place free ads from your profile that appear on their site. The site also contains graphics and widgets that you can place on your site or blog to lead people to your company profile (but if people are already on your blog, they probably don't need to go elsewhere to learn more about you! And if they do, there's something wrong with your site!).
